For this project, I styled a Miami-based psychologist whose personal style is modern romantic. I created mood boards to visualize three looks that felt warm, inviting, and creative while still reading as professional, all within a $5,000 budget.

 

The first daytime look pairs a billowy ivory blouse with poppy-print linen trousers and raffia accents, translating her romantic sensibility into a piece she could wear into client sessions without losing warmth.

 

The second daytime look centers a semi-sheer mauve shirtdress with labradorite earrings and a sculptural gold bangle, leaning into softness while keeping the silhouette polished enough for a professional setting.

 

The evening look shifts into a deeper, richer register with an emerald maxi skirt, ruffled white blouse, and hand-painted floral earrings, giving her a creative, editorial option for after-hours occasions.

 

Across all three looks, I focused on translating "modern romantic" through fabrication and color rather than overt ruffles or florals alone, so the looks felt sophisticated rather than "costumey".

 

The total across all three looks came in at $4,721. I managed to remain under budget while still delivering elevated, considered pieces.
